Project overview
Databify is a data analysis and business intelligence app developed by EG678 Software. Businesses connect Excel and CSV files, MySQL, MSSQL and PostgreSQL databases, and platforms such as Google Sheets, Google Analytics and Shopier. Databify brings this data together, analyses it with AI and turns it into chart dashboards.
The challenge
Most businesses have their data scattered across different places: sales on an e-commerce platform, web traffic in Google Analytics, stock and accounting in a database, and reports in Excel files. Bringing it all together and drawing meaningful conclusions either requires a data analyst or means hours in Excel. Large business intelligence tools, meanwhile, are expensive and complex for small and mid-sized businesses.
The solution
We designed Databify so that even a business owner with no technical background can use it.
All your data in one place: Excel, CSV, MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Google Sheets, Google Analytics and Shopier connectors are ready. Users connect a data source in a few clicks.
Ask a question, get the answer: users can ask their data questions in plain language, such as "Which products sold best last month?". Databify instantly returns the answer and a suitable chart.
Automatic dashboards: Databify picks the right chart type for the data, and users build their own dashboards from these charts.
Finding hidden patterns: AI detects trends and unusual changes (anomalies) in the data and flags them to the user.
The front end is built with Next.js, data processing with Python and Pandas, and PostgreSQL as the database. For natural-language queries and analysis, we built a custom prompt-engineering layer on top of the OpenAI API. For a similar solution, see our AI & Data Analytics service.
