Project overview
Birlik Galvaniz is a steel service center based in Dilovası, Kocaeli, Turkey. It supplies coil sheet, slit strip, cut-to-length sheet, trapezoidal and corrugated sheet to industries such as construction, automotive, machinery and energy. The company's old website looked outdated and could not present this wide product range clearly. Through a thorough UI/UX process we redesigned the site from scratch and added calculation tools that people in the industry use every day.
The challenge
A steel service center's customers are purchasing engineers, manufacturers and project teams. Before placing an order, they need to check dimensions, thicknesses and weights. Birlik Galvaniz's old site had a dated design, product information was hard to reach, and visitors had no reason to stay. For tasks like weight calculations, customers turned to other websites or to Excel.
The solution
We started with the user experience. We organised the products and processing lines (slitting, cut-to-length, trapezoidal, corrugated, roller shutter) so visitors can quickly find what they need, and built a clear menu for corporate information, quality certificates and catalogues. The modern interface presents the company as a strong, trustworthy industrial supplier.
The highlight of the site is its calculation tools. We built 17 calculators, from plate and sheet weight to coil diameter, hollow sections and I/H, IPE and UPN profiles. Users enter the dimensions and instantly see the weight in kilograms. The tools save customers time and give them a reason to come back to the site again and again.
The site is rendered on the server with Node.js and EJS, so pages load quickly and the calculators run directly in the browser without any extra software. See our web design and web application development service for more.

Birlik Galvaniz now has a modern digital showcase that fits its industry. Thanks to the calculators, the site has become a tool customers use in their daily work, not just a place to learn about the company.
